So tiny, so perfect. This little darling was a dream to photograph. She slept for almost the entire session and she only pee'd once (that is a record). I really enjoyed meeting Little miss Laura and her family.

I took this photo specifically for my bathroom and I just love it! I printed it big and framed it in a nice silver frame. It now hangs in my powder room and it is the perfect fit! What better artwork than my own children?

Long overdue...Ella Bella's 6 Month Session

At least I managed to do the session when she was 6 months but it has taken me a whole month to find the time to edit them and get some up on my blog. I had some fun with my little model and she was such a cooperative little angel. However, she would not have anything to do with my plexiglass (sitting on it, that is). She didn't mind laying face down on it but was petrified of sitting on it.

I decided a while ago that it was time for a website update. I loved my old site but I was never happy with the small size of the photos. So I decided to get a new and improved site that would showcase all my beautiful clients larger. I love this new processing treatment

I just thought I would share a new way of processing images that I just love. It has a bit of a vintage feel but also seems like a old worn photograph you might find in your keepsake box. I think it works perfectly with this image.

I was so excited to meet this precious little baby girl. I was so fortunate to photograph her beautiful Mom while she was expecting this little bundle and now I get to capture this sweet baby girl. It was a long session (but most newborn sessions are) and it was all worth it. She fought to stay awake but finally gave in and we got some keepers. Thanks goodness for the white noise of the hairdryer.

I just love taking pictures of Ella. Of course she is cute but also because she can't run away! Although she does get tuckered out eventually, she is such a good little model. She gives Mommy lots of smiles and is almost always up for a little photo shoot. Yesterday while her big brothers and Daddy were out tobogganing we had a little session. I wanted to try out some new backdrop colours and of course I always want to get more photos of Miss Ella Bella. I am sure I will be getting a few of these blown up. We also finally got one of the two of us.

Finally in her own bed

I think since this is my last baby I have kept her in my room a little longer than her brothers. As much as I would love a full night of sleep, I don't want her to grow up. I love having her little body sound asleep on me but she isn't so little anymore and it was time to put her in her crib. She still ends up spending half the night in Mommy and Daddy's room but at least she starts the night in her crib. I just love going in to her room to get her after she has woken from her nap. She is always so happy to see me. Today when she woke from her nap I took my camera in to snap a few shots of her in her beautiful crib. Here are a few that I got.

Baby Ella's 3 Months Old!

Time has really flown by. I can't believe that my baby girl is already 3 months old. She is such an adorable little one and her brothers just love her to pieces. She is cooing and laughing lots. Most people think that since I am a photographer that I have lots of photos of my kids but I don't. I think they all run when they see me with my camera! But I finally got a few keepers that are going to be printed big and hung on my walls for display. So here are a few from Miss Ella's 3 month shoot and also some of my little gentlemen - Carter and Jake.

I have known this beautiful little girl since she was just a few weeks old and I can't believe that she is turning 4! She is so full of life and energy and makes everyone around her laugh. First official one that is...and she was sooo good! I had attempted several times to get some photos of her while sleeping and she didn't seem to want to cooperate. But today she was such a good girl and she slept through most of it. We even managed to get a few shots of her with her Brothers and with Daddy. So overall it was a great success...until she pooped on Daddy!

On October 8th at 6:36am Ella Rose arrived! She was a healthy 8lbs, 5oz and is as cute as a button! Her brothers have been doting over her since she arrived and we are trying to return some sense of normalcy around the Simmons household. Let me just say that there is never a dull moment around our household...not that there really was before either!

I can't believe how much Jake loves his books. His favorites right now are Moo-Ba-Lala and a set of mini books that he got for his First Birthday. In this shot he is reading one of his mini books very intently. He loves to sit on my lap and have books read to him which is not at all how is older brother was (although Carter loves his books now). Hopefully he will always want to climb up on my lap and have me read him a book.

Not too often do we see Carter taking a break like this. He was feeling under the weather over the holidays and was taking a much needed break. He is feeling much better now and we most likely won't be seeing many more of these "lazy moments".

I guess you could say that I have developed a serious obsession with photography. I love everything about it (except maybe the cost). I have taken so many photos of my kids that they are developing what one would call the "photographer's Child Syndrome". When the camera comes out, they run! I have managed to capture a few of the "little moments" of our days and hope to catch a few more. Enjoy!
